About HES Business Group
HES Business Group is a Broken Hill-based maintenance and engineering business supporting the mining industry, local businesses and heavy industry across the region.
We provide mechanical and electrical maintenance, field service, labour hire, component rebuilding, fabrication and workshop repairs.
Our team and experience
Our team includes experienced plant mechanics, auto electricians, boilermakers, supervisors and specialist trades, with the capability to support both underground and surface mining operations.

Our facilities and divisions
With our mechanical workshops, Component Rebuild Centre and CFE Engineering & Fabrication division, HES can manage everything from breakdown support and routine maintenance through to major component rebuilds and larger repair projects.
Component Rebuild Centre
Transmissions, axles, engines, hydraulic cylinders, drifters and other major components are rebuilt in house. See component rebuilds.

Broken Hill roots, Cobar expansion
HES has grown from a Broken Hill base into the wider Far West and Western NSW mining district. We have recently branched out to the Cobar region to support mines there with their maintenance.
Working from within the region means shorter travel times, better local knowledge and crews who understand how remote sites operate.
Standards, licences and compliance
HES holds Motor Vehicle Repairs Licence MVRL60291 and Refrigerant Trading Authorisation AU067520. We are also in the process of gaining ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation.
